It’s coming up this Monday. What are you guys doing?
I’m going camping down in Oregon for the weekend to see the total eclipse.

Try and fend off the hordes of people that will decend since I live right in the path of totality.

Working. Coverage will be 92% where I live, which doesn’t compare to totality, but will be something to see. I predict Oregon is going to be a zoo.

I’ll be working. And I waited too long to get my hands on a pair of eclipse glasses, so I guess I’ll just wait for the flood of high-quality photographs to show up on Flickr.

Rollercoaster Eclipse! I’m going to Six Flags to celebrate the end of summer before going back to school.

I’m headed to a national forest in northeastern Oregon for dispersed camping. Hopefully we’ll be far from other people.

I’m still in South Florida until next week, so for now, this is the only total eclipse I’ll be experiencing:

I’m settling for 92% totality, which still seems pretty good. Camping seems like a fun way to do it. Are you adding an extra day after to avoid traffic?

That’s why I’m working extra shifts this week and next week.

Working, coverage will be maybe 65-70% here in Houston so it’ll be pretty much just another day.

Thinking of camping on the lake and taking the dinghy out to see it reflected off the water. Id have to drive an hour or two to be in the area of totality though.

Working, but we should get something like 97% totality here. I’ve blocked my calendar from 2-3pm so I can step outside for a bit to gawk.

Hope for the best, expect the worst. You’ll probably be better off than people in Corvallis or Madras, anyway.

Working, but we are having an office viewing party. Company bought glasses for the 40 people in our office in Charlotte, and we will step outside to see not-quite-totality.
This is one of the few times that I wish I worked out of one of our South Carolina offices.

We’re going to have 99% coverage. The totality is about 40 minutes southwest of me. I’ll be at work but I got some glasses so I’ll be stepping outside to watch. For sure!

Where in Oregon you headed? Heard it’s already a shitshow around Bend…they’re expecting apocalyptic traffic and gas shortages.
I’m in Portland, so a bit north of the path of totality…and I have a meeting with my boss at that time. Hoping he is at least curious to grab some coffee and chat outside so we can catch it!

The path of totality is a 1/4 mile from my back porch, so I’m just chilling at home since I have the day off.
